Survey & Engineering Records
Ancient records of old, established property corners are one of the Land Surveyor’s most valuable tools. It is the surveyor’s responsibility to reproduce the property boundaries that were originally established for the property being surveyed. The aquistition of HBW provided us records from 1880 when the firm was founded by Edward B. Hayward of Easton, Massachusetts. Since that time HBW had acquired the records of numerous other Land Surveyors throughout the area. A vast number of those original corners have long since been lost. With the original field books, calculation sheets and plans, that were the product of these surveyors, we are able to reproduce the actual property location established at the time of that original survey.
